Reasons Trump Might Lose

Well thank the gods of Irony, despite my woe and fear and loathing that a carnival barker now has the presidential nomination for 1 of the 2 major parties, the asshole might lose.  Nevertheless, I weep and tremble that this con artist, bankruptcy maven, and political embarrassment could even have a possibility of getting near the nuclear trigger.

C'mon, government and public service ain't 'a business.  Do you want a buffoon negotiating with the Chinese or Putin?  Rather better to have an ex-Secretary of State in our office of President!

Hill-A-Ree!!

[4. He’ll split the party into factions. After Trump won Indiana, Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus called for the party to line up behind the presumptive nominee. That will be much harder for Republican candidates running this fall, who, looking at their own futures, will have to decide if they’ll run with him, in spite of him, or against him. All those shades are already {occurring}, with many longtime party leaders saying never. These fissures are likely to cost the GOP its U.S. Senate majority.]

If I were a tree what kind of Trump voter would I be?

This type of free form  associative polling really chaps my ass. What does it add up too, all these bullshit questions.  This kind of  focus group bullshit chaps my ass; who you gonna vote for should focus the fucking group, not "what kind of tree would I be:"

"The veteran pollster who conducted the focus group, Peter D. Hart, has a knack for drawing out voters’ deep thoughts with “What Kind of Tree Would I Be”- type questions and exercises, though the voter who offered “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” as Mr. Trump’s theme song admitted with a laugh and a shrug that she could not quite explain why.  (emphasis added; quotes reordered.
The stupid but high paid pollster gets to voters' feelings in a roundabout way by asking them to write post cards to the candidates:

Cassandra Westerhold, 33, an independent who works in the oil and gas industry, wrote, “I believe that you are a bully and misogynist and I am ashamed to have you as the front-runner for the Republican Party.”
Aron Smith, 45, who works in technology for a large financial institution and supports Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, tried to strike an evenhanded tone. “While I appreciate your business acumen in the boardroom and believe it suits you well as the head of a huge business conglomerate,” he wrote, “I do not believe your crass and cavalier attitude fits the role of president.”
The pollster veers into insanity with these questions where he might accidentally veer into meat of the matter, that our society and especially the media value style over substance, a potentially fatal mistake when giving a man the keys to a vast nuclear arsenal.

[There were deep reservations about Mr. Trump, too. But in their comments — and their answers to probing questions like what song best described him and what they imagined he was like as a fifth grader — some voters suggested that their concerns were less about substance than about style, and that just a little attitude adjustment was all the billionaire needed.]

Attitude adjustment for a man with his finger on the nuclear trigger!  You gotta be freakin' kidding me!

The Donald: Failed Businesman Extrodinaire

Didja hear 'bout Trump's Intenet endeavour?  Probably not.sonce it died stillborn:
[Donald Trump was apparently about to dip his toes into the ISP world back in the summer of 1998, announcing that the newly formed Trump New Media would “wire his 20,000 residential apartments with high speed $30 monthly access.”

And sure, Trump could have gone with something vaguely within his realm of expertise—but why break with tradition? A local announcement at the time wrote that “Trump admits he’s hardly the man to head a new media firm. ‘I’ll tell you what I know about it: Absolutely nothing.’” He partnered with Freelinq Communications to launch the firm, but after getting shut out by his more competent competition, the endeavor failed to ever take off.]emphasis added

What else does he know nothing about?  Politics and compromise.

For me, who'll drink anything with alcohol, I'd like to try Trump Vodka. Make mine a Trump and tonic!

Trump Calls Poor People Morons

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/03/11/the-daily-show-digs-up-trump-quote-on-poor-people-they-re-morons.html

Univeristy of Central Florida Starts Trump Protest Phase

Donald Trump, speaking at my alma mater--The University of Central Florida in Orlando--faced protesters prootesting his campaign of hate mongering, fear, and intimidation for the first time.

Apparently, the idiot galvanized the student body onto using thier first amendment rights to showThe Donaldthey did not approve of his hate speech.  In this case, I'd have to call the protesters the sane ones.  Trumop should have known better to take his crusadeof hate to a college campus because the youngsters in polls show themselves as more progressive than their elders.

From my reading of the news,UCF, provided the first countr protests of Trump's protest campaign:  "Make  America Great Again."  One clever felloweven glued an   anaomically correct dildo to his "Make America Great " cap and called Trump a dickhead.

When  did we stop becoming great?  The US ranks #1 in many categories like military might and economic prowess.  Nevertheless, the angry underbelly of American politics cares naught for facts but subsists on fear.

The middle class fears getting left behin and becoming por.  Poor folks fear goning hungry and not having a roof over their head while the rich fear taxes, while this braggart, this bully, bloviator full of brash braggadocio incites violence.

Video from London Telegraph of Orlando protest:

Trump's very words stir up protests and verbal dissent, and foment violence; he sounds like the schoolyard bully who never got into a actual fight. He says he wants to punch protesters in the face but you can bet he never took a punch.

Screw that; America, I promise to punch him if we ever come together, punch him right in the balls from my wheelchair.  Maybe he'll pay my legal bills.

[They(protests) have become a regular thing at Trump rallies, and while security experts say Trump has every right to quash dissent at events he's paying for, they say the Republican front-runner is playing with fire by not tamping down uncivil behavior and assault.

"I would go so far as to say that I find that abhorrent," security consultant Stan Kephart, a former police chief in Arizona and California, said of Trump's failure to call out his pugnacious followers. "To me, he's pressing the line. He's doing things that you would see a showman do."

What's Trump's attitude about all of this?

He once said he'd like to personally punch a protester in the face, and has pledged to pay his supporters' legal bills if they get in trouble.

He's spoken fondly of the "good old days" when police could rough protesters up without fear of backlash. "But today," he said Wednesday in Fayetteville, "they walk in and they put their hand up and they put the wrong finger in the air ... and they get away with murder. Because we've become weak."] emphais added

A Merkin for My Gerken?

Washington Post reports in "16 things you missed in the Oscars" that someone made merkin joke.

Had to look up merkin: a pubic wig.

Could use a regular but will order a size up: XL, a codpiece in chain mail.

Maybe even the Donald has an orange merkin for his gerkin, made from hair from an endangered species, like his wig.

Bill Maher: Anti-Immigrant The Donald Marries Furriners

[“Nobody brings this up about Donald Trump, who is always on about, ‘We can’t have foreigners coming into this country!’” said Maher. “His first wife is from Czechoslovakia. His current wife is from Slovenia. So, if you think crawling under a wall is the most disgusting way to become an American, somewhere there is a Panamanian woman hiding in a truck full of chickens with ten pounds of heroin-filled condoms in her stomach who’s thinking, ‘Well, at least I didn’t have to blow Donald Trump.’”]  (Emphasis added for comedic value)

Jon Stewart: Please Don't Leave!

Jon rips Don new one.  Trying to blog about The Donald but alternate between paroxysms of laughter and weeping over future of America f the US: the first 'cause Trumpster just so damn funny and the latter after realizing tea party losers and other fool well actually for the man, the mockery of a candidate.

"Making America great again," what does that mean?  When did we get un-great, when public support $ became available for people to buy private insurance, lowering rates of uninsured humans to historic levels?

D. Trump Hears from a Veteran

"If a comic is printed in a paper no one reads, is it still funny?"

Dennis Rodman: "Trump for President"

Oh man, this justs easier every day, like finding a racist at a Klan rally easy.  Former NBA player (valet and rebounder for Michael Jordan) and self-appointed unofficial ambassador to brutal dictatorship of North Korea, has come out in favor of Donald Trump for President. http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2015/07/24/dennis-rodman-trump-for-president.html

That settles it for me!

Ringling Brothers - Republican Presidential Race 2016

Rumour has it Comedians took up a collection to entice Donald Trump--Republican clown emeritus and walking punchline--into the 2016 Presidential fray for fodder their acts.

Plus, Romney might run again, giving us an opportunity to recycle all our Mitt jokes and thus maintain a small comedy/carbon foot print.

Uncle Neil Rocks Trumps World

When Donald Trump strode on to the stage at Trump Tower on Tuesday to announce that he would enter the Republican race for president, a rock and roll anthem blared: Neil Young’s "Rockin’ in the Free World." It was an odd choice, given that the 1989 song seemed to slam a Republican administration for not giving a damn about the poor. And Young has taken exception to Trump's appropriation of his tune.

A statement issued to Mother Jones for Young by his longtime manager Elliot Roberts suggests Young was not pleased by Trump's use of the song:

Donald Trump's use of "Rockin' in the Free World" was not authorized. Mr. Young is a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders.

In other words, it may be a free world, but you're not free to steal my song.
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/06/neil-young-donald-trump-bernie-sanders

One of "news" segments I saw seemed to suggest that, since only RepubliKKKans found trouble from misappropriating songs for campaigns, that stemmed from lberal bent of most artists.

Au contraire, mon frere, that comes from Repugnants stealing property of others, as though their money made it OK, much less the R's lack of ethics and morality and rape the planet attitude, damn their eyes, "a thousand points of light for the homeless man," indeed.

Salon covers other outright thefts of songs, and the Dropkick Murphys literally hate Scott Walker, fuhrher of Wisconsin.
