Gators Win! Gators Win! Gators Win!

Gators Win!  Gators Win!  Gators Win!

[COLUMBIA, Mo. — Like the pick-six he had earlier in the night, Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor firmly grasped the enormity of the upcoming visit to LSU and ran with it.

After the Gators' clinical 21-3 win at Missouri, Tabor weighed in on the heavyweight matchup set for 7 Saturday night on ESPN.

The clash between the No. 6 Tigers (5-0, 3-0 SEC) and No. 8 Gators (6-0, 4-0) has everything a player, coach, fan or TV executive could want in a mid-October college football game.]

Dick Cheney Has Lost His Damn Mind

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: Dick Cheney lost his mind: "Colin Powell's former chief of staff says insanity is the only explanation for Cheney's paranoid stance against the nuclear deal with Iran."..

Saturday Night Live: Tackling tough questions so we don't have to

[“Preventing dangerous people from getting guns is very possible. We have common-sense solutions. We can toughen background checks and stop the sale of firearms to folks who have a violent history or history of mental illness,” the actress {Amy Schumer} said in August.

See Justin's "Bieber"

Just kidding.  Blurred photo assaulted me from some Inside Edition type show and saw more than ever cared to see of Justin.  Jeezus, can't we give me and he some damn privacy?

Howzabout celebrating perhaps greatest achievement of the human race, landing men on the moon, instead?

CNN ran a story with link to archive of NASA Apollo images: "....The images themselves aren't new, but they were shared en masse recently on the Project Apollo Archive Flickr account.

The archive is maintained by space enthusiast Kipp Teague and includes Apollo-related digital images released into the public domain by NASA. It contains more than 12,000 photos."

And oh my dear Lord I find these stunningly beautiful.

(Well, obviously copying from a Flickr acct, even with attribution failed.  So, let's go to NASA, w/out detracting from yeoman work done by Mr. Teague.

View of Suez Canal and Nile Delta.

Now don't you feel bad for wanting to see Justin's "Bieber?"

And this one shows the freaking earth from the moon, and don't all the problems of the world look so small and insignificant?

Mammoth Home Run

Although still trying to not say name of my favorite team out of rank superstition, this video shows atruly epic home run.  Kid who hit it, Kyle Schwarber, just came up to majors this year.

Sometimes, rookies just don't know they should lose to a superior on paper team like the talented St; Louis Cardinals.

Sometimes.

(Let's try this again.)

OK, since MLB having a snit, you can go to this link and see dinger:

NASA Finds New Winter Vacation Paradise: Planet Pluto

"‘It’s gorgeous': NASA discovers frozen water and blue skies on Pluto."

[Pluto has blue skies and patches of frozen water, according to the latest data out Thursday from NASA’s unmanned New Horizons probe, which made a historic flyby of the dwarf planet in July.

Never before has Pluto — a resident of the distant Kuiper Belt, a frigid region of the solar system beyond Neptune that is home to many comets and asteroids — been observed in such detail.

“Who would have expected a blue sky in the Kuiper Belt? It’s gorgeous,” said Alan Stern, New Horizons principal investigator from Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado.]

My Favorite X-Man: Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit

Still my fave morally conflicted comic character, even if played by Channing Tatum.

I'm Baaaack Blogging

Took a while to get "new" refurbished Dell and work around the logon process here at Island Hell.

Got a Dell 8500 with 2.53 gig processor and 4 megabits of ram and runs noticeably faster than last Dell, which ended up not liking having a screwdriver spilled on it.  Musta been the Orange Juice.

Highly recommend TigerDirect.com where I bought machine from, as well as 40 " TV for cheap last year.  Way cheaper than Wal-Mart.

Peace, ladies and germs.

Our friends, Saudi Arabian Monarchy

What an almost criminal act and a travesty the Saudis got named to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights!

They enforce medieval sharia law, torture, and absolute repression of women. Dammit, I can't even type the words, so let me quote law professor Jonathan Turley:
The elevation of Saudi Arabia (in what appears now a secret deal with England) in 2013 to the United Nations Human Rights Council was to say the least controversial. After all, the Kingdom denies basic rights to women, bars basic religious freedom for non-Muslim (including the construction of any church in the Kingdom), engages in torture, and applies a medieval Sharia law that imposes grotesque and draconian punishments. It is widely viewed as the appropriate target (not a member) of the Council. Saudi Arabia has not wasted time in obstructing human rights measures. This week for example the Kingdom blocked plans for an international inquiry into human rights violations by all parties in the war in Yemen despite massive death counts among civilians in the last six months. It also announced at a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva that it will opposed any and all protections for gay people as anti-Islamic.http://jonathanturley.org/2015/10/02/saudi-2/#more-93681
It boggles the mind and absolutely buggers the imagination; makes me want to puke.  Dipwads!

Miracles: I respect NY Yankees and adore a pope

Stories on the passing of Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra stressed his life of service as most important and noted Mr, Berra won 10 -World Series Championship rings.  'Though those important to sports fans, his accomplishments as a man much more outstanding.

Still, 10 rings quite a sports feat.  For over a century, rich white teart m owners screwed their fans and players alike yet still to win a title so they could brag about it at country clubs.  All teams try to buy titles by locking up players.

Still, getting the right guys seems more an art than science.  Even a hater like myself has to recognize.

Then comes Pope Frank to Notre America, preaching peace, acceptance, and solving seemingly intractable problems like climate change
