Chuck Lorre Vanity Card: True but censored, #375

Censored because Republicans can't handle the truth.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #375 (CENSORED):
[Forgive me a moment of political reflection, but I'd like to take this opportunity to discuss something that's been on my mind for a very long time. I've always understood the Republican Party to have, as its central platform, the idea that human beings should never be dominated by a monolithic government which tells them how to live their lives. I like that. It feels like a fundamental truth, and I can't imagine any right-minded person finding fault with it. I've also noticed that there are many in the Grand Old Party who insist on telling people exactly how they should live. For example: Alcohol, yes. Pot, no. Straight marriage, yes. Gay marriage, no. Jesus, yes. Others prophets, no. The death penalty, yes. Abortion, no. Capitalism, yes (by force if need be). Collectivism, hell no! Added to this is an inclination to find anyone who chooses these other paths to be deeply repugnant. All of which causes me to wonder, is there a middle ground? In fact, are there big political gains awaiting those of a conservative bent if they can figure out a way to celebrate individual freedom while simultaneously tolerating diversity of opinion and lifestyle? With that in mind, I humbly propose the following slogan designed to both embrace this paradox and ignite the general electorate in the coming presidential campaign.] emphasis added

Rapists' Parental Rights

You read that right.  In 31 states, rapists whose sperm swim well can claim parental visitation rights.

Holy Purple Jesus punch in a dirty bathtub, patriarch Man!  Visitation rights for criminal vermin who ought to have all trace of their existence wiped from the earth.  What freakin' patriarchal Mormon prick came up with that idea?

[It would not be long before I would learn firsthand that in the vast majority of states -- 31 -- men who father through rape are able to assert the same custody and visitation rights to their children that other fathers enjoy. When no law prohibits a rapist from exercising these rights, a woman may feel forced to bargain away her legal rights to a criminal trial in exchange for the rapist dropping the bid to have access to her child.

Opinion: Wake up, it's not just Akin

When faced with the choice between a lifetime tethered to her rapist or meaningful legal redress, the answer may be easy, but it is not painless. For the sake of her child, the woman will sacrifice her need to see her once immensely powerful perpetrator humbled by the court.

I know it because I lived it. I went to law school to learn how to stop it.]

People without a uterus should shut up and stop making laws about women's bodies!

I'm looking at you, Paul Ryan, defender of every fertilized egg who would ban most forms of birth control.

KKKonservative Dictionary

Your guide to translating  right wing double think and rise of the Decepticons: http://prospect.org/article/right-word.

One handy resource for people wondering what on earth when these RepubliKKKan culture warriors mean when they speak.

"I do not think think that word means what [they] think."

Taking one for the team, part quatro

Great Goldwater's ghost, gave $5 to Citizens Against Government Waste and now every damn mouth breathing KKKonservative group on earth calling me.

Lucky my new Medicare advantage plan gives me generic blood pressure meds 'cause found myself screaming at Wayne laPierre's, leader of the NRA, recorded voice telling me "THEY" be coming to take our guns.

Damn them, just wanted to become an agent provacateur 'cause my local Orlando Sentinel called CAGW a non-partisan non-profit, working behind the lines to get the scoop my local Tribune journalists ignored.

Just this afternoon got a call from Barnesville, GA, (770-450-0566) & sounded like a nice black lady from some damn conservative alphabet group, and had to politely ask them to put me on their do not call list.

Don't judge her nor me 'cause struggling in the 80's when kicked out of the nest, I took a job with FL Republican party doing fundraising calls. Hey, all God's chilluns gots to eat.

"Damn their eyes," Johnny Cash, from Sam Hall.

RepubliKKKans Will Kill Children

[As Congress struggles to negotiate a budget deal to keep the government running, the head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) told lawmakers Wednesday that the GOP version of the budget bill would result in the deaths of at least 70,000 children who depend on American food and health assistance around the world.
"We estimate, and I believe these are very conservative estimates, that H.R. 1 would lead to 70,000 kids dying," USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah testified before the House Appropriations State and Foreign Ops subcommittee.
"Of that 70,000, 30,000 would come from malaria control programs that would have to be scaled back specifically. The other 40,000 is broken out as 24,000 would die because of a lack of support for immunizations and other investments and 16,000 would be because of a lack of skilled attendants at birth," he said.]

""Once they torpedoed the economy, they blackmail us -the victims of their thievery"

What Alicia Morgan wrote.

[Once they torpedoed the economy, they blackmail us - the victims of their thievery - into giving them our tax dollars to bail them out, which then - again - they hold onto instead of helping out those they stole from. Now that they've taken our jobs, our homes, our pensions and our health care, our tax revenue base has dwindled away to nothing. So - since we have no federal dollars left in the tax base, the money that would have otherwise gone to the states for education, etc. is no longer available.
SO - now they start howling about the states' fiscal irresponsibility, since they are mandated to balance their budgets, unlike the federal government. Now, the shortfall must be made up by cutting education and gutting public employees and their unions - and collective bargaining - all those things that they hate with a passion, trying to make THEM look like the bad guys and profligate spenders! They are trying to steal the pensions of the public employees - who PAID INTO their pension plan years in advance, having had it taken out of their paychecks in lieu of collecting Social Security.
And now, we get to the end-game - time to cut public education; 'starve the beast', as Grover Norquist would say. When you de-fund public education, and eliminate all its resources, it's the easiest thing in the world to say, "See - public education doesn't work! Look how bad the schools are!"]

Illegal Aliens Counted in Census; Do They Count to RepubliKKKans?

[This week's announcement that Florida will pick up two congressional seats and a pair of additional electoral votes certainly enhances the state's clout in Washington.

But that extra political muscle comes with an interesting twist: The state would have gained only one additional seat had the Census counted just U.S. citizens, one researcher found.

It's a strange and little known quirk of the Census process -- that people who cannot vote help influence future elections -- which in 2010 helped Florida at the expense of states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Missouri.
The methodology has politicians in states that lost seats angry and also puts some Florida Republicans in an awkward position, given tough talk recently over illegal immigration....]  emphasis added

Oh that quirky census.  Got to love it that felons also count to divide up House of Representative seats.  So incarcerated non-voters often in FL in rural areas likely to vote RepubliKKKan, count for representation but obviously cannot vote.

Smell the Democracy.
