Damn Youse, NBC's, Damn Youse!!!

Thanks NBC for cutting Ray Davies and "Waterloo Sunset," one of most perfect songs ever.

Now you gone and done it, NBC, cutting Ray Davies doing the quintessential British song, "Waterloo Sunset."  Just cut it, crappd on it, and aired Animal Freaking Practice instead.

That amounts to media malpractice, bastards.

They even cut it from extra bonus footage aired AFTER "Animal Practice."   Had to stay up to past my bedtime to even catch the Who, what remains anyway.

Thank media gods for You bloody Tube, even with some shoddy sound.  Die a horrible business death NBC, may you go the way of the dinosaur and print newspapers, and I will dance.

[NBC frustrated fans once again on Sunday when the network decided to interrupt its coverage of the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony to air an hour-long preview of an upcoming comedy series.

Despite record ratings and an unprecedented amount of coverage, NBC has miffed some Olympics enthusiasts by airing the games on tape delay, editing out portions of the opening ceremony, unintentionally spoiling major events, broadcasting Tom Brokaw's documentary on World War II instead of the competition, and more.

It probably, then, should not have surprised fans that the network edited out portions of the 2012 closing ceremony for broadcast, including performances by Muse and The Kinks. However, fans seemed startled when the network suddenly cut away from the closing ceremony to air a one-hour preview of "Animal Practice."]

USA, USA, USA!!!

Updated: Huffpost reminded I'd left best joke on table: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!

US women's soccer team wins Olympic gold, gets measure of recompense for losing in World Cup final last year.  What a nail biter, with a couple of loose balls literally in front of US goal, Hope Solo getting bounced around like a bowling oin after punching ball out of penalty box, even a missed penalty kick for body slam takedown of Japanese offensive player in the goal mouth.

[LONDON – The United States gained sweet revenge on Thursday for one of the most painful women's soccer defeats, beating Japan 2-1 to take the Olympic Games gold medal.]

US Women's Soccer Team Beats Canada; Canadians Whine

Take that, you commie socialist creeps defeated by the forces of goodness and capitalism.  Take your health care for all and other share the wealth ways back to the great white north where it belongs.

We beat your commie butts, neener, neener, uh huh, USA, USA USA!

Oh, Canadian Prime Minister proposes new Keystone pipeline route which will despoil the environment and send oil to pacific coast for export abroad and make $ billions for rich investors?

Carry on then.

[During the second half, with the U.S. frantically trying to speed up the game while attempting multiple comebacks, Wambach began running near referee Christiana Pedersen and counting off the seconds that McLeod held the ball. She said she often got to 10 and into even the teens.

"I wasn't yelling. I was just counting," Wambach revealed Wednesday during an interview at the team hotel. "Probably did it five to seven times."

The last time came in the 78th minute, with Canada trying to milk a 3-2 lead. McLeod made a save, and Wambach began counting again.

"I got to 10 seconds right next to the referee, and at 10 seconds she blew the whistle," Wambach said.

The call was for delay of game. There was confusion on the field, because it was an exceedingly rare decision. Not another American or Canadian player or coach remembers the call ever being made, let alone in such crucial moments of an international tournament.

Regardless, the result was an indirect kick for the Americans inside the Canadian box. That kick wound up hitting a Canadian defender's hand, which meant a penalty kick for the Americans.

Wambach stepped up to the spot in the 80th minute and drilled a low shot off the left post and into the net to tie the game. In the final minute of stoppage time in the last overtime session, the USA'sAlex Morgan headed a cross past McLeod for the incredible game winner.]
