Borowitz Reports: Republicans Fume President Using His Powers "To Lead"
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Responding to reports that President Obama is considering signing as many as nineteen executive orders on gun control, Republicans in Congress unleashed a blistering attack on him today, accusing Mr. Obama of “cynically and systematically using his position as President to lead the country.”
Spearheading the offensive was Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas), who charged the President with the “wanton exploitation of powers that are legally granted to him under the U.S. Constitution.”
Calling him the “Law Professor-in-Chief,” Rep. Stockman accused Mr. Obama of “manipulating a little-known section of the Constitution,” Article II, which outlines the power of the President.
“President Obama looks down the list of all of the powers that are legally his and he’s like a kid in a candy store,” Rep. Stockman said. “It’s nauseating.”]

Never Trust a Man Who Doesn't Drink Beer
That means Mormons, right? Guys like Willard Mitt Romney who never had the moments of introspection praying to the porcelain god brings, who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and upgraded it to platinum
[Son, never trust a man who doesn’t drink because he’s probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They’re the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They’re usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they’re a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can’t trust a man who’s afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It’s damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he’s heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl.

Better to trust a man who brews his own beer and will have to share the recipe after a Freedom of Information Act Request: Barack H. Obama.
[Obama is a big enough fan of his White House beer (and beer in general) that he's now carrying it on the campaign bus andoccasionally handing out bottles of it. While it may in fact be a great brew, we don't really know for sure since most of us have never tried it. That's why a Reddit user decided to submit a Freedom Of Information Act request for the White House Honey Ale recipe, or any other White House brews, which include White House Honey Porter and White House Honey Blonde Ale. All three use honey from Michelle Obama's White House garden.
The Fedblog points out that this is not the first formal request for the recipe. A petition was recently filed at the White House website, but it needs 25,000 signatures by September 17 before it gets reviewed. As of this writing, it has 295. Only 24,705 to go! The petition pleads, "In keeping with the brewing traditions of the founding fathers, homebrewers across America call on the Obama administration to release the recipe for the White House home brew so that it may be enjoyed by all."]

"The American presidency is designed to disappoint."
[The American presidency is designed to disappoint. Each candidate must promise things that are beyond his power to deliver. No candidate could expect to be elected by emphasizing how little power the office actually has and how voters should therefore expect little from him. So candidates promise great, transformative programs. What the winner actually can deliver depends upon what other institutions, nations and reality will allow him. Though the gap between promises and realities destroys immodest candidates, from the founding fathers' point of view, it protects the republic. They distrusted government in general and the office of the president in particular.
Congress, the Supreme Court and the Federal Reserve Board all circumscribe the president's power over domestic life. This and the authority of the states greatly limit the president's power, just as the country's founders intended. To achieve anything substantial, the president must create a coalition of political interests to shape decision-making in other branches of the government. Yet at the same time -- and this is the main paradox of American political culture -- the presidency is seen as a decisive institution and the person holding that office is seen as being of overriding importance....]

Consider the above the next time you read some whiny, puling, progressive puke snivel, "But Obama did not do enough!"
He NEVER had a progressive majority!

Obama: "It Gets Better"
Found at Maddowblog: http://maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/10/22/5334106-this-is-a-president
Wonder when this will become an outrage to the mouth breathin', tea partyin', droolin', John Birchin' bitches?
Don't worry, cynicism to follow. Nevertheless, this cynic can't stay cynical all the damn time.
