Univ, of Mississippi takes down state flag from university grounds, which flag contains Confederate battle emblem, after a vote by the student senate, thus rejoining the rest of America, albeit in the 21st century rather than the 19th as reasonable people might have expected.
Better late than never.

Man, never thought some could sound more backwards than Mississippi or the Klan boys from Ft. Christmas, FL, but the current Confederate States of America takes my top prize for delusional paranoid fools of this and last century. “The University of Mississippi community came to the realization years ago that the Confederate battle flag did not represent many of our core values, such as civility and respect for others,” Interim Chancellor Morris Stocks said in the statement. “Since that time, we have become a stronger and better university. We join other leaders in our state who are calling for a change in the state flag.”
