US Averages 20 Massacres Per Year

[ the number of mass shootings in the United States — averaging 20 per year — has remained relatively stable over decades.]

How did this Aurora asshole get 6000 rounds of ammunition for his assault rifle?

Over the Internets, of course, you silly ninny!

Deer hunt much?

No one in America needs an automatic weapon or assault rifle, whether for home defense or deer hunting.

The prospect of an armed citizenry, far from preventing massacres like this as in the National Rifle Association battle cry, would likely increase the body count.

Consider analysis of tactical situation found at Americablog: "The attacker had the element of surprise, was heavily armed and wore a ballistic vest. It was dark and he threw smoke grenades at the start of the spree. Is it really likely that an armed member of the audience might have stopped him, in the dark and under cover of smoke grenades? Really?

The attacker is always going to have the element of surprise in these situations. And the notion of 300 movie patrons all opening fire at once sends chills."

Recently in internet cafe near my empire of dirt, a 71 year old patron fired his hand gun, wounding and chasing off 2 robbers.  One got hit by 3 shots and the other a single round.  Can't bestir myself to find video with sounds of gunshots but could have sworn heard patron fire 7 times, including several after suspects tried to flee and also out the doors of the cafe.

What happened to 3 missing rounds?

With all deference due to my ex friend who always carries, you get no damn deference; this old coot could have killed an innocent bystander.  Where would Stand Your Ground Law fall then?  What if robber shot another patron or several after getting fired upon.

The robbers lost the element of surprise and failed to control the crowd.

What kind of carnage could have ensued in Aurora had a pitched gun battle broke out inside the theatre?

Useless punk, if he would have any balls, he would have committed suicide by cop and trying to battle it out with armed professionals.

What a liberal ought to do, want this guy duly executed after trial or hope he suffers for 7 decades in jail, confined to a space size of my bedroom closet?

Guess I want to kill him myself, so guess prison for rest of his miserable life a more just punishment.
